Dr. Lei Tao received an MS degree from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2002 and a Ph.D. degree from the University of Warwick (UK) in 2006. He is now working as an associate professor at Tsinghua University, in the Department of Chemistry. His research interests include polymer synthesis methodologies, new functional polymers via multicomponent reactions, self-healing/adapting hydrogels, and bio-applications. He was granted the first prize in the 8th Young Teachers Teaching Competition of Tsinghua University in 2018 and was named an outstanding reviewer of polymer chemistry in 2021.
