Prof. Ricardo Jorge Dinis-Oliveira is a Full Professor at the University Institute of Health Sciences and the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Porto, Portugal. He is the Director of the Research Unit 1H-TOXRUN (One Health Toxicology Research Unit of IUCS-CESPU) and an integrated researcher of UCIBIO-REQUIMTE - Applied Molecular Biosciences Unit/ Associated Laboratory for Green Chemistry, Clean Technologies, and Processes. He graduated in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2003 from the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Porto. From the same institution, he obtained his PhD in Toxicology in 2007. He develops scientific and academic activity in the areas of toxicology and pharmacology of psychoactive substances, pesticides, and medicines in their preclinical, clinical, and forensic aspects. He is a member of the Editorial Board and an ambassador of several international scientific journals. Furthermore, he has authored over 200 published articles (representing more than 5000 citations) in internationally indexed, peer-reviewed journals, and is the author of about 36 book chapters, 4 books, and 4 national and 3 international patents. In 2021, 2022, and 2023, he was included in the World’s Top 2% Scientist’s list, which ranks the most highly cited scientists. He is the President of the Portuguese Association of Forensic Sciences (APCF). He is a Scientific Consultant for Avextra Pharma GmbH and FOREN.pt. According to SCOPUS, his current h-index is 39.
