Sevim Isik is a Professor of Molecular Biology and Genetics in Uskudar University, Engineering and Natural Science Faculty, Molecular Biology and Genetics Department. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics (1995) from Bosphorous University, Istanbul, Turkey. Isik’s research primarily focuses on cellular and molecular mechanisms of underlying neural differentiation and neurodegeneration. Also she conducts studies on cellular and exosomal therapies in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, specifically Alzheimer’s Disease and Parkinson’s Disease, and other diesases like cancer. She has been involved in the studies drug delivery studies for the treatment of cancer.
