Dr. Linbing Wang

Prof. Dr. Linbing Wang is a Professor and the Director at the Sensing and Perception Lab, College of Engineering, University of Georgia, Athens, GA, USA. He graduated with a B.S. degree in Hydraulic Engineering from Hohai University in 1984, and an M.S. degree in Geotechnical Engineering from Tongji University in 1991. Subsequently, he completed a second M.S. degree in Civil Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1995, where he received his Ph.D. in 1998. His research interests are smart, sustainable, and resilient infrastructures; material genomes for multifunctional materials, sensing and perception for safety and security; digital twin and mix reality; pavement testing and design; and data analytics and asset management. He published 164 papers, totaling 1414 citations (h-index = 19; Scopus data from 2 January 2024).
