Dr. Griffiths has worked on various aspects of materials performance in nuclear reactor cores during his 32 years working for AECL at their Chalk River Nuclear Laboratories. From 2003 to 2013, he was on the editorial advisory board for the Journal of Nuclear Materials and was an editor from 2013 to 2016. In 2007, he was a recipient of the Kroll medal from ASTM for his work on microstructure evolution in zirconium alloys during irradiation. Since retiring in 2016, he has remained active in nuclear reactor materials R&D as an adjunct at Queen’s University and as a consultant through ANT International.
