Moganavelli Singh obtained a Ph.D. in Biochemistry at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in 2006. She is currently a Professor, Researcher, and Head of the Nano-Gene and Drug Delivery Laboratory at the University of KwaZulu-Natal,Durban, South Africa. Her interdisciplinary research includes the development and biological evaluation of inorganic nanoparticles (gold, silver, platinum, selenium, copper, and bimetallic) as potential gene and drug delivery vehicles for cancer and immunotherapy. She is also involved in anticancer studies of chemical and medicinal plant compounds. She has published over 180 journal articles and 10 book chapters and is a member of the European and American Gene and Cell Therapy Societies, the South African Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and the International Society of Global Health.
