Marzena Pazgier is a Professor at the Infectious Disease
Division, Department of Medicine, F. Edward Hébert School of Medicine,
Uniformed Services University. Prior to joining USU, she was a faculty member
of the Institute of Human Virology in the School of Medicine at the University
of Maryland. She earned her PhD in Chemical Engineering from Lodz University
of Technology and completed her postdoctoral training in the structural biology
of infectious disease at the Molecular Crystallography Laboratory in the
National Cancer Institute, NIH at Frederick, MD. Her research focuses on
understanding the mechanisms of molecular recognition in human disease with the
goal of translating that knowledge into medical applications.
