Kazuto TANAKA is a professor (Dr. Eng.) in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Doshisha University, Japan. He graduated from the Faculty of Engineering, Kyoto University in 1994 and obtained a Master of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Graduate School of Engineering, Kyoto University in 1996. He obtained a doctorate from Kyoto University in 2002 in the field of composite materials. He worked at Kyoto University from 1998 to 2005 as an associate professor and lecturer. He moved to Doshisha University in April 2005. Now, he is a professor at the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Faculty of Life and Medical Sciences, Doshisha University. In addition to being part of the Department of Biomedical Engineering, we have a lot of projects connected to automotive application of CFRP and CFRTP. He is part of the Global Board of Directors, SAMPE Japan Fellow, a member of the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers, and part of the Society of Materials Science, Japan.
