Dr. Nicola Fusco is a Pathologist with expertise in Breast Pathology, Digital Pathology, and Predictive Molecular Pathology. He serves as the Director of the Division of Pathology at the IRCCS European Institute of Oncology (IEO) in Milan, Italy, where he is also PI of a translational research lab. In addition, Dr. Fusco is the Director of the Biobank for Translational and Digital Medicine Unit at IEO. His contributions extend to academia as well, as he holds the position of Associate Professor (Pathology) at the University of Milan, in the Department of Oncology and Hemato-Oncology. Dr. Fusco is a prolific academic and has authored numerous publications, mainly in the field of predictive molecular pathology and breast cancer. He is actively involved in several scientific organizations and foundations, including the Italian Society of Pathology (SIAPeC), the European Society of Pathology, and International Society of Liquid Biopsy (ISLB). His contributions to ISLB have led to his appointment as the Chair of the "Quality Control & Accreditations Committee". His dedication and impact on the field of oncologic pathology have been recognized through various awards, accolades, and numerous competitive research grants funded.
