I am Bio-engineering graduate with demonstrated experience in multi-disciplinary research, applied remote sensing, and geoinformatics. I have over 5 years of work experience with university institution, international research projects, and a multi-national research and development organisation. I have practical prowess in using various computer programming languages and geographic information systems (GIS) in processing multi-sensor remotely sensed images and data for application in forestry, agroforestry, and agricultural land use. I share the following goals: multidisciplinary research and collaboration; project execution; natural resource management; and decision support using spatial analysis, remote sensing, machine learning, image texture analysis.
Main field of expertise is GIS, Remote Sensing and Geo-informatics in forestry, agroforestry and land Use. In the past years, my research/work has focused on Applied Earth Observation or Remote Sensing, using spatial (satellite and GIS) and field (inventory) data analysis in the context of sustainable development, land cover and land use mapping, and ecosystems services assessment and monitoring, and in agricultural, agroforest, and forest landscape management.
