Minas Dasygenis (Electric and Computer Engineer, 1999, Ph.D.) is an Assistant Professor at the Polytechnic School of Kozani through the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of Western Macedonia, Greece, where he teaches the core courses in operating systems, computer architecture, embedded systems, and parallel and distributed systems. His research interests are focused on robotics, embedded and cyberphysical systems, gamification, the Internet of Things, security, and hardware and software cosynthesis. Currently, he is working on designing IoT systems and accelerating algorithms either on hardware (FPGA) or software on distributed and shared memory systems in heterogeneous architectures. Dr. Dasygenis has been serving as a program committee member to various flagship conferences of embedded systems. He has published more than 70 papers in international journals and conferences, authored three books, and has been a principal researcher in three European research projects.
