Viorel Coman is an FWO senior post-doctoral researcher at the Faculty of Theology and Religious Studies, KU Leuven (Belgium). He is a member and secretary of the Research Unit Systematic Theology and the Study of Religions. Dr Coman is the co-chair of the Ecumenical Dialogue Group of the International Orthodox Theological Association (IOTA). He is a former secretary (2018-2022) of the Societas Oecumenica (the European Society for Ecumenical Research) and a member of its current standing committee.
