Bercem Yeman Kiyak is currently a PhD fellow in the University of Health Sciences, Institute of Health Sciences, Department of Molecular Medicine. She has received her BSc and MSc degrees in Molecular Biology. Yeman's primary research is focused on neurodegenerative diseases, Parkinson's Disease in particular, and molecular mechanisms of neural differentiation and axonal degeneration. She has worked on in vitro and in vivo models of Parkinson's Disease, and has focused on the role of neuroinflammation in neurodegeneration in her latest research.
