Sumaira Ashraf is a researcher at the University of Madeira and an Adjunct Professor at the Instituto Superior de Administração e Línguas, Funchal, Madeira. She holds a Ph.D. degree from the University of Evora (Portugal) and an MS and MBA in Finance from Mohammad Ali Jinnah University (Pakistan). Her current research interests are mainly: tourism finance, crises, corporate governance, capital structure, and green finance. She has published in international journals, such as the Journal of Cleaner Production, Asia Pacific Journal of Management, and Journal of Multinational Financial Management, among others. She has presented papers at national and international conferences.
