Adriano Schimmenti, Ph.D., is a full professor of psychopathology and dean of the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences at the UKE—Kore University in Enna, Italy. He is also the scientific director of the Italian Institute of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. His research is primarily focused on the examination of the relationships between psychological traumatization and psychopathology, as well as the exploration of the psychodynamics of addictive behaviors. He has authored/co-authored more than 300 scholarly contributions, including six published books, and serves as an associate editor for Clinical Neuropsychiatry and the European Journal of Trauma and Dissociation.
