Lai Ngoc Diep obtained a PhD degree in Laser Physics at the University of Rennes 1 (France). In 2007, he joined the Quantum Photonics and Molecular Laboratory of the École Normale Supérieure Paris-Saclay (ENS Paris-Saclay), France. He worked towards the optimisation of single photons source, coherent manipulation of single-electron spin associated to colour centre in diamond, and super-resolution imaging techniques. He is hired in 2009 at ENS Paris-Saclay as an Assistant Professor and he became an Associate Professor in 2013. His current research focuses on micro and nanofabrication, optical coupling of nanoparticles into photonic systems, and magnetic and plasmonic structures at nanometre scale.
