Dr. Adnan Mustafa completed his PhD in Soil Science from the
Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Beijing,
China. He spent a few months at the Czech Academy of Sciences as a Postdoctoral
Researcher. He is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Chemistry and
Technology of Environmental Protection, Brno University of Technology, and
simultaneously works as a Researcher at the Mendel University in Brno and Charles
University in Prague. His research focuses on soil organic carbon (SOC)
accumulation mechanisms, SOC stability, protection mechanisms of SOC,
fractionation of SOC, and advancing this field across different land uses. He also
works on plant--microbe interactions, biochar production, and utilization for
agricultural crop production and environmental remediation.
