Prof. Simona Zaami is an Associate Professor at the Department of Anatomical, Histological, Medical, Legal, and Locomotor Apparatus Sciences, Faculty of Pharmacy and Medicine, Sapienza University of Rome, Rome, Italy. She received a degree in medicine and surgery (October 30) from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” in 1986. She is a member of the following societies: The International Association of Forensic Toxicologists (TIAFT), The New European Surgical Academy (NESA), GIPF (Italian Group of Forensic Pathology), and SIMLA (Italian Society of Legal Medicine and Insurance). Her research interests include maternal emotional regulation, termination of pregnancy, early feeding, diet, anthropological and legal aspects of the history of abortion, iatrogenic damage, clinical risk management, occupational diseases and civil invalidity.
