Prof. Giacomo Zanni is a Full Professor of Estimation in the Engineering Department of the University of Ferrara. In 1982, he graduated in Agricultural Sciences from the University of Bologna, Italy. Since 1983, he has worked as a technician and then as a researcher at the Institute of Rural Appraisal and Accounting (University of Bologna). Since 1998, he has been an Associate Professor in the academic sector “Agricultural Economics and Rural Appraisal” at the University of Foggia, Italy (Faculty of Agricultural Science) and since 2001 he has been a Full Professor. Since 2008, he has worked in the Department of Engineering of the University of Ferrara. At present, he teaches: “Economics and Real Estate Appraisal” (6 CFU, “Laurea-Degree” level ); “Complements of “Economics and Real Estate Appraisal” (9 CFU, “Laurea Magistrale-Master” Level). He also teaches "Philosophy and Methodology of Research" (Doctorate level). He is a member of the Academic Board of the Doctorate “Corso di Dottorato di Ricerca in Ingegneria” (University of Ferrara). His scientific activity is carried out in national and international research teams, funded by the European Union, the MURST, the CNR, and by other private and public bodies. The main subjects he researches are agro-technology assessment, project assessment, evaluation of agri-environmental measures, EIA, and business administration in agriculture.
