Katarzyna Wartalska graduated from the Faculty of Environmental Engineering at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology, specializing in water supply, sewage removal and waste management. Since 2018, she has been employed at the Department of Water Supply and Sewerage Systems, Faculty of Environmental Engineering, Wrocław University of Science and Technology. In 2019, she defended her doctoral thesis with distinction. Her main research interests are issues related to urban hydrology, in particular the rainfall–runoff phenomenon, climate change, urban floods, the spatiotemporal variability of rainfall, rainfall models and reference rainfall for sewerage design and modeling. She participated in 16 scientific conferences, during which she presented the results of her research work. In addition to her scientific and teaching activities, she is involved in organizational activities at the Faculty of Environmental Engineering. She was a member of the Organizing Committee of the EKO-DOK Conference (from 2016 to 2019), ASEE17 (in 2017) and ASEE19 (in 2019), and is a Member of the Center for Sustainable Development and Climate Protection of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology.
