Prof. João M. P. Q. Delgado graduated in Chemical Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering-University of Porto (FEUP) in 1995 and completed a PhD degree in Chemical Engineering (Transport Phenomena), by the same institution, in 2002. He was an auxiliary researcher in the Civil Engineering Department, FEUP, between 2007 and 2012. Currently, he is a Post-Doc in CONSTRUCT at the Civil Engineering Department, FEUP. He is editor-in-chief of the Springer-Verlag Journal: Journal of Building Pathology and Rehabilitation (BPAR), ISSN: 2365-3169, and the Springer Book Series: Building Pathology and Rehabilitation, ISSN: 2194-9832, and he is a member of the editorial board of 6 international peer-reviewed journals. Since 2009 he has been co-chairman of the International Conference on Diffusion in Solids and Liquids (DSL), member of the executive commission of 1st International Symposium on Building Pathology (ISBP-2015), he organized three other international conferences: 3rd Conference on Building Pathology and Rehabilitation (PATORREB 2009), 12th International Conference on Building Materials and Components (XII DBMC) and WUFI-2010; and he organized more than 15 special sessions in international conferences.
