Based on the Stimulus-Organism-Response framework, this research sought to examine tourists’ environmental concern and destination identification as mediating variables between residents’ environmentally responsible behaviour and tourists’ green consumption in Chinese rural tourism. A total of 275 participants were recruited, and structural equation modelling was conducted to test hypotheses. Findings indicate residents’ environmentally responsible behaviour has a positive relationship with tourists’ green consumption; environmental concern and destination identification mediated this relationship. Moreover, tourists’ destination identification was found to impact their environmental concerns significantly. The present study contributes to promoting the sustainable development of rural tourism.

We aimed to predict health tourism intention after the COVID-19 pandemic, which has made people more cautious about their health status. Our study participants comprised 369 people from Chengdu, China, who completed an online survey on health consciousness, subjective knowledge, perceived usefulness of health tourism, perceived behaviour control, and health tourism intention with COVID-19 mitigation measures (females = 218; age range = 18 to more than 65 years). We utilised hierarchical multiple regression and Structure Equation Modelling to predict health tourism intention from perceived usefulness of health tourism and perceived behaviour control. The results revealed that health consciousness and subjective knowledge predicted perceived usefulness of health tourism while perceived usefulness of health tourism predicted health tourism intention. Perceived behaviour control mediated the relationship between perceived usefulness of health tourism and health tourism intention partially. These findings suggest that people’s tourism intention under the COVID-19 mitigation appears to be influenced by how they perceive the usefulness of health tourism, based on their subjective knowledge and health consciousness.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, people have reduced the frequency of going out, and need to engage in health behaviors at home. Home-based exercise has aroused people’s attention. This paper aims to examine the influencing mechanism of health consciousness on home-based exercise during the COVID-19 pandemic. A questionnaire method was used to select 449 Chinese respondents on an online platform; the questionnaire includes a health consciousness scale, health life goal scale, perceived behavioral control scale, and the home-based exercise scale. A T-test was used to conduct differential analysis. The hierarchical regression analysis method was used to examine the relationship between health consciousness and home-based exercise, and the Hayes’ SPSS PROCESS macro was used to test mediating effect. The results show that there are significant differences in home-based exercise with respect to gender, age, and marital status. Health consciousness has a significant positive effect on home-based exercise. Perceived behavioral control acts as the mediator between health consciousness and home-based exercise. Health consciousness can influence home-based exercise through health life goals and perceived behavioral control in turn. This paper takes a home-based exercise survey, and expands the theoretical research of home-based exercise. The findings suggest that people should pay attention to promoting the transformation of health consciousness into home-based exercise. It provides enlightenment for people to adopt health behaviors during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Brand attachment is at the core of building strong consumer brand relationships, which has important strategic significance for hotel enterprises and brands in acquiring a sustainable competitive advantage. Currently, neither the mechanisms underlying brand attachment nor the factors influencing hotel brand attachment are clearly understood. Functional, symbolic, and hedonic needs influence brand selection. This paper analyzed the effect of these three factors on consumers’ perceived value and brand attachment. The mediating effects of customer sentimental value were also evaluated. This study expands our understanding of what determines brand attachment by showing that sentimental value mediates the relationships between functional value, symbolic value, hedonic value, and brand attachment. It also has managerial implications for the hotel industry.

Although there have been a variety of studies on waste classification management, there are few studies on how governments can effectively publicize waste classification knowledge in order to enhance citizen participation. Government publicity may be the key to the effective implementation of waste classification management in China. The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of government publicity, consumer attitudes, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control and consumer knowledge on consumers’ willingness to classify waste in the process of waste management in China. The methodology used for the study included data collected from a survey conducted among citizens from four cities in China, the extended theory of planned behavior model and a moderating effect analyses using the statistical software Amos17.0 and SPSS 22.0, utilizing structural equation modeling, hierarchical regression, and the interpretation of the results. The results show that government publicity has a significant positive impact on consumer attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control. The positive effect of consumer attitudes and perceived behavioral control on waste classification intentions are significant. Consumer knowledge plays a significant role in moderating the effect of perceived behavioral control on waste classification intentions. The findings of this study are of great significance to government and public decision-making. The results strongly suggest that the government should vigorously publicize the knowledge of waste classification at the initial stage of implementation of waste classification. Furthermore, a detailed distinction between types of consumers and the role of personal values in the implementation of waste classification is considered as a direction of future research.

Entrepreneurial leadership is critical for the sustainable development of start-ups and plays a key role in employees’ turnover intentions. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between entrepreneurial leadership and turnover intentions of employees within enterprises established in the last five years. This paper explored this relationship through multiple serial mediators, specifically, employee affective commitment, job embeddedness, and job satisfaction. A quantitative approach was employed on a sample of 403 participants from 62 ventures. The results demonstrated that entrepreneurial leadership can reduce employee turnover intentions, and the impact is through job embeddedness, job satisfaction, and affective commitment, in series. This study is the first try of a three-serial-mediator model for the relationship between entrepreneurial leadership and turnover intentions, and it leads to a better understanding of the significance of entrepreneurial leadership.
