Luca Mesin graduated in Electronics Engineering in 1999 and received his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics in 2003 from Politecnico di Torino, Italy. From 2003 to 2008 he was a Fellow of the Laboratory for Neuromuscular System Engineering of the Department of Electronics, Politecnico di Torino. Then, he was Assistant Professor and then Associate Professor in Biomedical Engineering at the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications and head of the Mathematical Biology and Physiology group (Politecnico di Torino). His main research activities are in the fields of biomedical image/signal processing and mathematical modelling.
