Gerardo Fatone has been an associate professor of “veterinary surgical semiology” at the University “Federico II” of Naples since 2000. He also teaches “Small animal orthopedics” and “Small animal neurosurgery”. He graduated in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Naples "Federico II" in 1988. He obtained the title of Doctor of Research in 1993. He was previously a professor of “Veterinary surgical pathology”, “surgical methods”, and “veterinary surgery” at the University Federico II and at The University Magna Graecia of Catanzaro. He dedicates himself full-time to clinical teaching and research. The main fields of research are orthopedics, biomechanics, and neurosurgery. He has published 50 scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals. He is the author of chapters about the locomotor pathology of small animals and cattle in the text “Semeiologia Clinica Veterinaria”.
