Sangmin Lee is a Professor of Environmental Engineering at the Kongju National University and received his M.A. and Ph.D. from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). In addition, he was involved in the research activities at the University of Illinois (UIUC) and the University of Delaware as a visiting scholar. He received prizes for the Excellent Award for Poster Presentation from KSCE, ISEE, and KSUN. He has also served as a member of the board of directors for the Korean Society of Environmental Engineers and the Korean Society of Urban Environment. Furthermore, he has published widely on the subjects of removal of phosphorus and heavy metals by functional adsorbents, GAC adsorption and regeneration, zero-valent iron, mineral carbonation for CCU, and membrane bioreactor in several leading academic journals, including Water Research, the Journal of Membrane Science, Desalination, Water, and Environmental Engineering Research.
