Prof. Christina R. Bourne is an Associate Professor at the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, University of Oklahoma, Norman, OK, USA. She obtained her B.S. from the University of Oklahoma in 1998, and her Ph.D. from the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation and University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in 2003. She then worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center from 2003 to 2007. In 2014, she joined the University of Oklahoma, where she served as an Assistant Professor from 2014 to 2021, and she became an Associate Professor in 2021. Her research interests lie in the areas of structural biology, anti-bacterial, microbiology, and biochemistry. Prof. Bourne has received a number of awards, such as the Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) Outstanding Faculty Mentor Award (2018), the ASM Peggy Cotter Award for Early Career Branch Members Travel Award (2020), and the Nancy L. Mergler Faculty Mentor Award for Undergraduate Research (2020).
