Dr. Gustavo Costa

Gustavo Koury Costa is currently a Professor at the Mechanical Engineering Department at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology in Recife-PE, Brazil, where he teaches fluid power and fluid mechanics courses. He received his M.Sc. and D.Sc. degrees from the Federal University of Pernambuco, Brazil, and holds two Post-Doctorates from The University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, MB, Canada, where he worked in the Fluid Power and Telerobotics Research Laboratory and is currently an Adjunct Professor. His main field of expertise is Fluid Power, where most of his academic life has been concentrated. He has one published book and one registered patent in relation to Power Hydraulics.
