Dr. Keshmiri is a staff scientist in Embodied Cognitive Science Unit (ECSU) at Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Graduate University (OIST), Okinawa, Japan. He studies the role of neurophysiological signal variability in the emergence of mental states and behaviour and the potential that it can offer to the solution concept of digital bio-markers for neuropsychological disorders.
Dr. Keshmiri is a recipient of the ATR Research and Development Award for Excellent Research in 2017 and 2019. He has received the Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research (KAKENHI) from Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) in 2019. He is currently a Topic Editor in Sensors, a member of Reviewer Board in Entropy, and a Review Editor in Human-Robot Interaction, Frontiers in Robotics and AI.
