Associate Professor Dr. Sonja (Bogdan) Ketin (maiden name Stefanov) was born on November 30, 1969 in Pancevo. She graduated from the Uroš Predić Mathematical Gymnasium in Pancevo. She graduated from the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, University of Belgrade in 1996, with a grade of 10 on her graduate thesis in the field of chemical engineering. At the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad, she enrolled in post-graduate studies in the field of Environmental Engineering. She obtained her master's degree in 2004, completing a master's degree with an average grade of 9.17 and defending a thesis in the field of Risk Assessment and IPPC in the petrochemical industry. She defended her doctoral dissertation entitled "Development of an integrated control model and pollution prevention in the oil and petrochemical complex - on the example of Pancevo" at the same faculty in 2012. During the preparation of the master's and doctoral theses, her mentor was prof. Dr. Emeritus Mirjana Vojinović Miloradov. After completing her undergraduate studies, she worked as a professor of chemistry at a high school of chemistry. She taught organic chemical technology and physical chemistry in Pancevo. Since 1997, she has worked at HIP-Petrohemija on safety, health and environmental protection, design and planning of development programs, new investment facilities and preparation of project documentation.
