Dr.-Ing. Ali Behravan, University of Siegen is now a postdoctoral researcher and project manager at the University of Siegen and received his doctoral degree (Ph.D.), awarded with the highest distinction “Summa cum laude”, from the University of Siegen, Germany, in 2021. He received his Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2014. Besides his Ph.D. studies, he is serving as a research associate in the area of embedded mechatronics systems such as Smart Buildings’ new HVAC technologies and fault tolerant systems aligned with the DFG projects. He has served as the lecturer in graduate level since 2016. Ali advised numerous Master Theses, Student Works (Studienarbeit), and Seminar Works at the University of Siegen. He was the organizer and publicity chair for the ODRE 2020 workshop in Nashville, TN, United States, and he was selected as the scientific committee member for the IEEE CoDIT, 2020, in Prague, Czech Republic, ICIE 2020 in Portugal, IEEE CoDIT 2019 in Paris, France, and session Chair in IEEE SysCon 2018 while he served reviews for Elsevier journals, e.g., Energy, Energy and Buildings, etc. He has published scientific papers at prestigious IEEE conferences as well as reputed journals and received the Best Paper Award at IEEE IEMCON, 2018, University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada. Ali has project management experience in several German and EU funded projects, e.g., BRIDGE-US, SkoPS, IoTRAIN, and 3IoT.
