Prof. Kamran Esmaeili is a full Professor at the Department of Civil and Mineral Engineering, University of Toronto, Toronto, ON, Canada. He received his B.Sc. in Mining Engineering at the Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman, Iran, in 1997, his M.Sc. in Mining Engineering at the University of Tehran, Iran, in 1999 and his Ph.D. in Rock Engineering at the Laval University, Canada, in 2010. His research interests include Mining Engineering, Mining and Geomechanics, and Mine to Mill Process Optimization. His research strives to explore the development of predictive analytics and smart modeling solutions for the mining industry that allow for a better mining design and continuous mining process control and optimization.
