Mr. Kamran Mir

I’m an energetic young research scholar and a passionate computer programmer by profession. I’m currently working as an Assistant Director IT at AIOU, Islamabad, Pakistan since May 2013. I started my professional career in December 2003 along with full-time studies. I’m a very dynamic and multi-disciplinary personality and managed to advance in studies, research and career simultaneously. I did two Master degrees; one in Computer Science from Allama Iqbal Open University and the second one in the field of Remote Sensing and GIS from National University of Science and Technology (NUST), Islamabad. My overall research area is the mixture of my professional job and studies i.e. Technology in Education. Specifically, my research and professional work revolve around online student support systems, online journal management, mobile assessment, GIS in Education and learning analytics. I believe in the Islamic philosophy of imparting education for the sake of education or education for the overall betterment, socio-economic and moral development of whole humanity.
