Vinay Kumar is presently an adjunct professor of Physics at Texas A&M University in Kingsville. He has a Ph.D. (2008) in Physics and Meteorology. He has more than 15 years of experience in simulating and forecasting weather and climate events using weather and climate models. He is a member of the Indian Meteorological Society (IMS) and the Japan Geophysical Union (JpGU).
