1. Create SciProfiles Account.
If you already have an MDPI account (account registered on platforms including SuSy, SciForum, Preprints.org, Encyclopedia, MDPI.com), you can directly log in to SciProfiles with your registered email and password.
2. Set up your profile.

1. Click on the small gear icon at the top right corner of the screen.
2. Choose “Edit My Profile” to go to your Basic Info page.
3. Click "VERIFY ORCID".
4. Log in to your ORCID account and authorize MDPI to access.
If you got the message "The provided ORCID is already in use by another profile", please contact [email protected].

2. Go to your Settings and Privacy page.
3. Click “Add new email”.
4. Input your new email address and submit.
5. Click the link in the activation email you received to verify it.
If you do not have access to the email address anymore, please contact [email protected].
1. Click the pencil icon at the top left corner of the page.
2. Click “Upload photo” to select the photo (maximum allowed size is 5.12 MB) you wish to upload.
3. Click “Apply” to upload your photo.
The easiest way to add a publication is to add an additional email under which the publication was published, the system will automatically add that publication together with all the publications that have been published under that email.
There are three main other ways to add publications to your profile: importing them from your ORCID ID, searching by DOI/PMID or uploading a BibTex file. To add publications:
1. Click “Publications” on the top navigation bar.
2. Click “My Publications” and then “Add a New Publication”.
3. If you have already linked your ORCID and authorized access, you can click “Import” to import from your ORCID account or choose “Search” (by DOI or PMID) or “Upload” (by bib. file). If you have not verified your ORCID account, click “Validate” first and import from your ORCID account or by Search DOI or PMID number, or Upload a BibTex file.
1. Search the publications you want to claim via the search box on the top right corner of the page.
2. Find the article and click the title to go to the article page.
3. Click “Request”, choose “Authorship” and then select your name in the dropdown list. If you cannot find your name in the list, leave it as “New”.
4. Click “Request” on the popup page to confirm your action. The article will be displayed on your profile after the authorship request is approved.
If you find a publicaiton in your profile which is not yours,
1. Click “Publications” on the top navigation bar.
2. Find the publication that is not yours, click “Remove” to remove it.
3. Click “Remove Authorship” to confirm the delete.
If the publication cannot be removed, please contact [email protected].
Please note that there is a delay for database updates. Please check again 30 min later.
SciFeed keeps you informed by email as soon as new articles matching your queries are pulished from more than 119 million publications.

3. Click “Close Account” at the bottom of the page.
4. Select a reason and confirm your action by clicking “Submit”.
Your profile will now be invisible to the public.
Attention: Your profile will be activated once you log in to SciProfiles again.

2. Click “Settings And Privacy” to go to the settings page. You can set your primary email, password, news feed preference and public visibility or close your account on this page.

3. Click “Change password” to confirm the change.

3. Choose the email you would like to use as your primary email, and click the “Set as primary” button.

4. Select a reason and confirm your action by clicking “Submit”.

2. Click the pencil icon beside "Short Biography" on the left side of the page to edit your short biography.
3. Click “Submit” to confirm your edit.

3. Click the “Add” button under the current institution to add additional institution and department (optional) information.
4. Click the “Save Basic info” button to confirm the changes.
Attention: The institution placed on the top of the list is considered as primary. You can change your primary institution by dragging it down within the icon at the end.
1. Click “Publications” on the top navigation bar. You can check your publication list on this page;
2. You can click “Add a New Publications” to add more publications; Click “remove” to remove authorship for a single publication; or click “Pending Publications” under the “Publications Import” menu to check your pending publicatons list and provide additional information for publications in this list.

2. Click “Edit My Profile”, scroll down to the Research Keywords part; you can add/edit your research keywords as well as the research subjects and subdomains.
3. Click the “Save Research info” to confirm the change.

3. Click “Add new career” at the bottom of the page to add your experience or click "Edit" to update.

3. Click “Add new award” at the botton of the page if you do not have any award information yet or click “Edit” to update the current information.
SciProfiles serves as a hub for all MDPI platforms. All the publications you published with MDPI or any publications indexed by Scilit, a database powered by MDPI, will be automatically matched with your account. Once matched successfully, those publications will be automatically listed in your profile. Publications that do not exist in our database or lack key information will go to the pending publications list. Those pending publications will need further validation from you before they can be added to your publication list.
