Community Guidelines
SciProfiles is a scholarly community that connects researchers, academics, and scientists worldwide.
To better achieve this goal, we have community guidelines to improve the quality of
content on the platform.
The goal of our community guidelines is to create a place for
scholars to share scientific research and make contact. SciProfiles hopes that scholars will be open to
discussing their experiences or troubles in their academic careers, either in the form of posts or discussion groups.
Therefore, in order to create a good community environment and present valuable content, we want users to post content
that meets one or more of the following standards:
- Authenticity
- We want the user's identity and profile information on the platform to be authentic.
In addition, we want to make sure that the content people post on SciProfiles is authentic. We believe that authenticity creates a better environment for sharing and interaction.
We do not want users to see false or distorted information on the platform, so we will block or delete false content.
- Scientificity
- We are committed to making SciProfiles a platform for researchers to share, communicate, and learn.
We encourage users to post academia-related content, including but not limited to research fields, experiences, and ideas.
If there are instances of malicious marketing advertising, we will take action against these content and accounts.
- Security
- We're committed to making SciProfiles a safe place. We remove content that could contribute to a
risk of harm to the physical security of persons.
Content that threatens people has the potential to intimidate,
exclude, or silence others and is not allowed on SciProfiles
- Respectability
- Users share research and connect with other users on SciProfiles.
Scientific content and good socializing will produce progress.
In order to promote the development of the platform and safeguard the user experience,
we want users on the platform to respect each other's ideas and recognize the diversity of ideas and perspectives.
Harassment, defamation derogatory comments, and vulgar language will not be tolerated.
- No illegal or dangerous content
- We avoid promoting, selling, or trying to buy illegal or risky products or services on this platform.
Content that aids in acquiring illegal or dangerous items, prostitution, or escort services is prohibited.
Additionally, sharing fake educational or professional certifications, selling scraped data, proxy test-taking,
or guidance on creating forged official documents is not allowed.
Refrain from organizing lotteries, contests, sweepstakes, or giveaways on LinkedIn.
Lastly, do not exploit tragic events for commercial gain on this platform.
We encourage users to report content that violates our platform regulations to maintain a good community environment.
If you see something you believe may violate our policies, whether in profiles, posts,
discussion groups, messages, comments, or anywhere else, please report it to us.
