Jim Samuel is Associate Professor of Practice, and Executive Director, informatics programs, Rutgers University. As an artificial intelligence (AI) and information scientist, with strong industry experience in diverse domains, Dr. Samuel’s research focuses on the applications of AI aligned with the optimal use of big data and smart data. Dr. Samuel’s primary research covers human intelligence and artificial intelligences interaction, information philosophy, textual analytics, natural language processing, informatics and AI driven public opinion tracking. His research extends to socioeconomic implications of AI, applied machine learning, social media analytics, financial analytics, AI education and AI bias. He holds M.Arch, M.B.A (International Finance) and Ph.D. (CIS) degrees, and has published his research in leading Journals. Dr. Samuel advises businesses and organizations on analytics and AI driven value creation strategies. He is passionate about research driven thought leadership and the promotion of AI education, information philosophy, analytics and informatics.
