Full professor of Ophthalmology, Chairman at the Hospital Clinico Universitario, University of Valladolid. Spain. Dr. Pastor acquired his Medical Doctor degree in 1974, Unversity of Navarra; his PhD in Retina, University of Navarra, in 1975; began his Ophthalmology Specialty in 1976, University of Navarra; and became Full Professor and Head of Ophthalmology Service, University of Santiago de Compostela, 1979-1981. His work experience includes teaching pre-graduates (Medical School) at University of Navarra 1975-1919 and University of Santiago 1979-1981 (Medical/Optometry School) and graduate students (IOBA’s master programs, PhD Inter-University Visual Sciences Program, Retina Clinical Fellowship program). His research includes acting as director for the Retina Disease Research Group. Clinically, his experience comprises Vitreo-Retina diseases. Current and previous research interests include retinal diseases, ocular medical device safety, cell therapy, and proliferative vitreoretinopathy. Memberships of professional societies and awards received include 15 scientific societies and more than 25 regional and national awards. He is a member of Expamed (European Commission for Medical Devices).
