I am a researcher at the Faculty of Materials Science and Ceramics at AGH University of Krakow. My scientific interests focus on the design, synthesis, and characterization of advanced glass and glass-ceramic materials for functional applications.
My current research is dedicated to developing glass-based materials for ionizing radiation dosimetry, with particular emphasis on thermoluminescent and optically stimulated luminescence responses. I investigate how compositional modifications and the incorporation of rare-earth dopants influence the radiation sensitivity, stability, and signal reproducibility of these materials.
In parallel, I work on luminescent glass and glass-ceramics for optical applications, including their potential use in photonic and optoelectronic devices. This includes the study of energy transfer processes, emission mechanisms, and down-conversion/up-conversion phenomena in doped glass systems.
My broader scientific goal is to establish structure–property relationships in disordered materials and to tailor their functional properties for applications in radiation detection, photonics, and advanced optical technologies.
