Luis Picado-Santos, PhD, is a Full-Professor of Transport & Infrastructures at ULisboa, and is Director
of the Doctoral Program in Transportation-Systems, initiated under the MIT-Portugal collaboration
program. He has supervised 24 PhD and 65 MSc dissertations, and was in charge of several research
and industry projects. He has authored >300 international articles. For >25 years, he has been an
international consultant.
