Fabio Marchetti received an M.Sc. degree in chemistry (1991) and a PhD in chemistry (1996) from the University of Camerino, Italy. Subsequently he joined the University of Camerino as a Researcher, in 2022 he became an Associate Professor and in 2011 he moved to the role of Full Professor of General and Inorganic Chemistry at the School of Science and Technology of the University of Camerino. Dr. Marchetti's research program focuses on exceptional challenges at the interface between inorganic and materials chemistry, with potential applications of new metal ion-containing substances and composite materials in catalysis and biology.
