Amin Orash Mahmoudsalehi obtained his PhD in Nanotechnology from Tecnológico de Monterrey, working at the interface of biomaterials science and tissue engineering. His research focuses on the design and fabrication of advanced biomimetic scaffolds for corneal stromal regeneration, integrating techniques such as electrospinning, solvent casting, and biofabrication strategies. His work emphasizes structure–function relationships, material–cell interactions, and the development of physiologically relevant in vitro models to better understand corneal tissue response and repair. He is actively involved in interdisciplinary and international research collaborations, with a strong focus on translating biomaterials-based approaches into clinically relevant solutions for ocular surface regeneration.
