Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) platforms enable flexible and cost-effective vehicle detection for intelligent transportation systems, yet small-scale vehicles in complex aerial scenes pose substantial challenges from extreme scale variations, environmental interference, and single-sensor limitations. We present AMSRDet (Adaptive Multi-Scale Remote Sensing Detector), an adaptive multi-scale detection network fusing infrared (IR) and visible (RGB) modalities for robust UAV-based vehicle detection. Our framework comprises four novel components: (1) a MobileMamba-based dual-stream encoder extracting complementary features via Selective State-Space 2D (SS2D) blocks with linear complexity O(HWC), achieving 2.1× efficiency improvement over standard Transformers; (2) a Cross-Modal Global Fusion (CMGF) module capturing global dependencies through spatial-channel attention while suppressing modality-specific noise via adaptive gating; (3) a Scale-Coordinate Attention Fusion (SCAF) module integrating multi-scale features via coordinate attention and learned scale-aware weighting, improving small object detection by 2.5 percentage points; and (4) a Separable Dynamic Decoder generating scale-adaptive predictions through content-aware dynamic convolution, reducing computational cost by 48.9% compared to standard DETR decoders. On the DroneVehicle dataset, AMSRDet achieves 45.8% mAP@0.5:0.95 (81.2% mAP@0.5) at 68.3 Frames Per Second (FPS) with 28.6 million (M) parameters and 47.2 Giga Floating Point Operations (GFLOPs), outperforming twenty state-of-the-art detectors including YOLOv12 (+0.7% mAP), DEIM (+0.8% mAP), and Mamba-YOLO (+1.5% mAP). Cross-dataset evaluation on Camera-vehicle yields 52.3% mAP without fine-tuning, demonstrating strong generalization across viewpoints and scenarios.

The global economy and society are seriously threatened by the pervasive spread of counterfeit goods. Their high level of simulation makes real and fake goods extremely similar in appearance and difficult to distinguish. The existing identification techniques mostly use CNNs and transformer architectures. However, CNNs have limitations in modeling long‐range dependencies, leading to their limited classification performance, while vision transformers (ViTs), although excellent in modeling long‐range dependencies, the quadratic computational complexity of their self‐attention mechanism makes it difficult to be widely used in real‐world scenarios with limited computational resources. According to recent research, long‐range relationships can be accurately modeled using the state space model (SSM), which is represented by Mamba, while preserving linear computational complexity. Motivated by this, we proposed CGMamba, a SSM‐based intelligent recognition model for counterfeit goods. Specifically, we constructed a novel hybrid basic block called global‐local feature aggregation (GLFA). This block greatly enhances the feature extraction capability for counterfeit goods by deeply integrating the local feature extraction capability of the CNN and the global modeling capability of SSM. It is composed of three components: a local feature extractor, a global feature extractor, and an adaptive feature aggregation module (AFAM). In addition, to address the problem of lack of counterfeit goods image data, we constructed a large counterfeit goods dataset containing 101,480 images covering 104 categories for model training and evaluation. The experimental results showed that CGMamba achieved 90.99% Top 1 accuracy on the self‐constructed dataset and 79.5% on the public dataset CNFOOD‐241, which significantly outperforms the existing methods. The source code is available at https://github.com/wth1998/CGMamba.git .

Powdery mildew has become a significant disease affecting the yield and quality of rubber trees in recent years. It typically manifests on the leaf surface at an early stage, rapidly infecting and spreading throughout the leaves. Therefore, early detection and intervention are essential to reduce the resulting losses due to this disease. However, the conventional methods of disease detection are both time-consuming and labor-intensive. In this study, we proposed a novel deep-learning-based approach for detecting powdery mildew in rubber trees, even in complex backgrounds. First, to address the lack of existing datasets on rubber tree powdery mildew, we constructed a dataset comprising 6200 images and 38,000 annotations. Second, based on the YOLO framework, we integrated a multi-scale fusion module that combines a Feature Focus and Diffusion Mechanism (FFDM) into the neck of the detection architecture. We designed an overall focus diffusion architecture and introduced a Dimension-Aware Selective Integration (DASI) module to enhance the detection of small powdery mildew targets, naming the model PM-YOLO. Furthermore, we proposed an automatic grading detection algorithm to evaluate the severity of powdery mildew on rubber tree leaves. The experimental results demonstrated that the proposed method achieved 86.9% mean average precision (mAP) and 85.6% recall, which outperformed the standard YOLOv10 by 7.6% mAP and 8.2% recall. This approach offered accurate and real-time detection of powdery mildew rubber trees, providing an effective solution for early diagnosis through automated grading.

The proliferation of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) poses escalating security threats across critical infrastructures, necessitating robust real-time detection systems. Existing vision-based methods predominantly rely on single-modality data and exhibit significant performance degradation under challenging scenarios. To address these limitations, we propose DCAM-DETR, a novel multimodal detection framework that fuses RGB and thermal infrared modalities through an enhanced RT-DETR architecture integrated with state space models. Our approach introduces four innovations: (1) a MobileMamba backbone leveraging selective state space models for efficient long-range dependency modeling with linear complexity O(n); (2) Cross-Dimensional Attention (CDA) and Cross-Path Attention (CPA) modules capturing intermodal correlations across spatial and channel dimensions; (3) an Adaptive Feature Fusion Module (AFFM) dynamically calibrating multimodal feature contributions; and (4) a Dual-Attention Decoupling Module (DADM) enhancing detection head discrimination for small targets. Experiments on Anti-UAV300 demonstrate state-of-the-art performance with 94.7% mAP@0.5 and 78.3% mAP@0.5:0.95 at 42 FPS. Extended evaluations on FLIR-ADAS and KAIST datasets validate the generalization capacity across diverse scenarios.

Anti-unmanned aerial vehicle (Anti-UAV) detection is critical for airspace security, yet existing single-modality approaches suffer from severe performance degradation under adverse illumination, thermal crossover, and extreme scale variation. In this paper, we propose CSFADet, a dual-modal detection framework that jointly exploits visible and infrared imagery through four tightly integrated modules. First, a Cross-Spectral Feature Alignment (CSFA) module performs early-stage spectral calibration by computing cross-modal query–value attention maps, generating modality-aware channel descriptors that re-weight and concatenate the two spectral streams. Second, a Dual-path Texture Enhancement Module (DTEM) enriches fine-grained spatial details via cascaded convolutions with residual connections. Third, a Dual-path Cross-Attention Module (DCAM) introduces a feature-shrinking token generation strategy followed by symmetric cross-attention branches with learnable scaling factors, Squeeze-and-Excitation recalibration, and a 1×1 convolution fusion head, enabling deep bidirectional interaction between modalities. Fourth, a Dual-path Information Refinement Module (DIRM) embeds Adaptive Residual Groups (ARGs) that cascade Multi-modal Spatial Attention Blocks (MSABs) with channel and dynamic spatial attention, culminating in a Multi-scale Scale-aware Fusion Refinement (MSFR) unit that employs three parallel multi-head attention branches with a Scale Reasoning Gate and Channel Fusion Layer to produce scale-discriminative enhanced features. Experiments on the public Anti-UAV300 benchmark show that CSFADet achieves 91.4% mAP@0.5 and 58.7% mAP@0.5:0.95, surpassing fifteen representative detectors spanning single-stage, two-stage, YOLO-family, and Transformer-based categories. Ablation studies confirm the complementary contributions of each module, and heatmap visualizations verify the model’s capacity to focus on small, distant UAV targets under challenging conditions.
