Prof. Massimiliano Veroux

Prof. Dr. Massimiliano Veroux is an academic with a strong background in surgery. He obtained his Ph.D. in traumatology at the University of Catania (2003). He serves on several national and international scientific advisory boards, including an authorization from the Italian Minister of Health to participate in the kidney and combined kidney–pancreas transplantation activities (2001 to present), a consultant surgeon at the Organ Transplant Unit of the University Hospital of Catania (2003-present), the head of the Transplant Program at the Azienda Policlinico San Marco Catania, University of Catania, Italy (2021–present), an associate professor of surgery at the University of Catania (2007–present), etc. He has received recognition throughout his career for his contributions, including prestigious awards such as the “Ettore Ruggieri” award of The Italian Society of Surgery (2001), the Organ Transplantation Consorzio Interuniversitario award (2003), the Award from Clinical Infectious Disease for outstanding review (2009), an Honorary Diploma from the European Board of Surgery (2011), A Certificate of Excellence dall’European Society of Surgery (2018), the Innov Contest Winner all’11th European Symposium for Vascular. His fields of interest include kidney transplant surgery, vascular surgery, and general surgery, including endocrine surgery, digestive surgery, mini-invasive surgery and hepatobiliary surgery, emergency surgery, and oncological surgery.
