I specialize in Quaternary Environmental Science, Environmental Archaeology, and Paleoecology. My principal research contributions include: elucidating the response characteristics of regional vegetation to typical abrupt climatic events since the last interstadial of the Last Glacial period in northern China; clarifying the centennial–decadal-scale natural variability of East Asian monsoon precipitation throughout the Holocene; and proposing novel insights into pollen data integration as well as the relationships between pollen, climate, and vegetation.
