Edvani Curti Muniz graduated with a degree in Chemistry at the State University of Maringá (UEM, 1982). He became a Master in Engineering and Materials Science through the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil (UFRGS, 1986). He became a Doctor in Science (Physical Chemistry) through the State University of Campinas, Brazil (UNICAMP, 1993). He received his postdoctorate (1998--2000) from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), Belgium. He is a Full Professor of Physical Chemistry at the Department of Chemistry, UEM (since 1986 and retired in July 2016; currently volunteering). He has been a Visiting Professor at the Federal University of Technology, Parana, Brazil (UTFPR-Londrina since 2016). He is a Full Professor in Physical Chemistry at the Department of Chemistry at the Federal University of Piaui, Brazil (UFPI, since August 2019). His topics of interest include the following: hydrogels, polymer blends, thermal analysis, polymer miscibility, electrospinning. He has expertise in the structure properties of polymeric materials, biomateriais, chemometrics, and multivariate data analysis.
