Sumanta Chatterjee currently pursuing postdoctoral studies at the USDA-ARS Hydrology and Remote Sensing Lab, Maryland, USA. He obtained his PhD (Soil Science) from the Dept. of Soil Science, University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA. Hie is also affiliated as a scientist at ICAR-National Rice Research Institute, Cuttack. He works on soil moisture, drought, proximal soil sensing, carbon cycle, GIS & Remote Sensing, Agrometeorology, Soil Physics, atmosphere exchange of mass and energy with an emphasis on modeling Evapotranspiration and GHGs flux using eddy covariance and modeling tools.
