Yan Bu is currently an Associate Professor and Master’s Supervisor at the School of Economics and Management, Harbin Engineering University. He received his Ph.D. through a joint program between Dalian University of Technology and TU Dresden (Germany) and is a recipient of the Liaoning Province Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award. He has also served as a visiting scholar at the National University of Singapore and City University of Hong Kong. His research interests lie in population, resources and environmental economics, energy policy, and the intersection of the digital economy with green development. Dr. Bu has presided over 4 research grants, including projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the Heilongjiang Province Natural Science Foundation, and the Heilongjiang Province Social Science Foundation. He has published over 20 papers in high-impact SCI/SSCI journals such as Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Journal of Environmental Management, and Journal of Cleaner Production, with 15 papers as first or corresponding author, two of which have been recognized as ESI Highly Cited Papers. He currently serves as a Youth Editorial Board Member for Environmental Nexus and is a council member for the Input-Output Society of China.
