About SciProfiles

SciProfiles is an innovative social network for researchers and scholars, and is developed by MDPI. In line with our broad mission, the purpose of SciProfiles is to accelerate discovery and innovation by facilitating immediate access to research results and providing opportunities for academic networking.

MDPI is a signatory of the San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA, https://sfdora.org/) which calls for researchers to be evaluated on more than just an Impact Factor. SciProfiles aims to provide a more sustainable assessment of research impact and contribution to scientific communities, going beyond simply journal impact factors and citations. It also aims to provide a comprehensive overview of researchers’ activities beyond publications, in order to provide a sustainable, transparent, community-driven alternative to the current research evaluation system.

SciProfiles is built to inspire and improve global scholarly communication.
