Cement based materials are vastly used in the construction of many bulding infrastructures. However, in infrastructures such as wastewater treatment plants, there exists aggressive environments posed by sewage, which influence the biodeterioration and microbial induced corrosion. In my recent research, we investigated the deterioration of cement based composites in wastewater treatment plants.
