Prof. Manzan Marco is an Associate Professor at the Department of Engineering and Architecture of the University of Trieste, Italy. Prof. Marco Manzan graduated from the Milan Polytechnic with full marks in Aeronautical Engineering in 1989. His research focused on the stability of numerical methods, the effects of conduction–convection coupling, the calculation of thermo-fluid dynamics fields in natural and mixed convection using CFD, and the optimization of heat transmission in forced convection. Now the main researches focus on energy optimization of the building system and energy saving, impact of climate change on buildings consumption and people health. Prof. Manzan is a member of the Italian Thermotechnical Association (ATI). Italian Union of Thermofluidodynamics (UIT), International Building Performance Simulation Association (IBPSA), AICARR (Italian Association of Air Conditioning Heating Refrigeration), from April 2020 he is the Regional Delegate AICARR for Friuli Venezia Giulia Region.
His skills and expertise include computational fluid dynamics, engineering thermodynamics, thermal engineering, fluid mechanics, CFD simulation modeling and simulation of buildings and HVAC systems.
